Paw Protectors help provide enrichment for our animals and assist with service tasks.

What:

Youth ages 12-17 help exercise our adoptable rabbits and guinea pigs and socialize our cats, providing them with valuable enrichment during their shelter stay. Kids may also help with other various service tasks throughout the shelter as needed. This program provides a great opportunity for youth to have hands-on interactions with animals and give back to the shelter while earning community service hours.

Held 2 times a month from 4:00-5:30 p.m. 

Cost:

$10.00 per child

How to sign up:

Reservations are required. Register below!

Please Note:

  • All sessions are from 4:00-5:30 p.m.
  • Registration is on a first come, first served basis.
  • Registration fee is non-refundable.
  • Parents are welcome to drop off their child, wait in the lobby, or walk through the shelter during the program. 
  • This class is for humans only - please leave your great pets at home!
