Join Project Wildlife, the San Diego Tracking Team, and the San Diego River Park Foundation for National Trails Day! National Trails Day is an annual event celebrating outdoor recreation across the country. Participants of all ages will have opportunities to learn about local wildlife, hunt for wildlife tracks, enjoy a picnic, take a short 3 mile hike, or just soak up the sun. This event is a your chance to get outside, learn about local conservation efforts, and get involved!

This event is located about 1.5 hours by car from central San Diego, on Eagle Peak Road, 3 miles between the intersection of Pine Hills Road and Eagle Peak Road.​ Special instructions on access and parking at the preserve will be provided upon RSVP. Participants should wear sturdy shoes, bring sun protection, 64 oz of water to drink, and lunch.
