Career Camp Application


Does your high-schooler have a passion for animals and an interest in pursuing a career in the animal field? Career Camp will offer high school-aged youth a hands-on and motivational experience to dive into a career with animals!

Campers will develop an understanding and appreciation for the daily responsibilities of Veterinary staff, Humane Law Officers and Animal Trainers in an animal shelter setting. 

Each day will focus on one career with activities, demonstrations and presentations that showcase “a day in the life of” to include cruelty investigations, medical treatments/procedures and positive training techniques.  Campers will enjoy daily animal interactions and learn about the impact each career makes on the life of a shelter animal.  

Time: 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Cost: $150 per child

Dates and Locations:

  • July 24th-26th, Oceanside Campus, 572 Airport Road in Oceanside
  • August 15th-17th, San Diego Campus, 5500 Gaines Street in San Diego


  • A completed application does not guarantee a spot in the camp. Limited space is available. Applicants will be selected based on their written application.
  • Applications must be received by June 15th. 
  • Please have the teen applicant complete this form. Once accepted, we will contact you for payment information. All applicants will be notified by June 22nd.
  • Refunds for camp are available until the Friday before, minus a $20.00 processing fee.
  • Snacks are included.
  • Campers need to bring a water bottle and wear closed toe shoes.
