Noise Complaint Report

Dear Community Member,

Before completing this form, please check to be sure the noise disturbance is happening within San Diego Humane Society's jurisdiction. Note: complaints within the City of San Diego must be submitted here.

Please note that pet owners are often not aware that their pet is creating a disturbance, so speaking with them directly can help resolve the problem most quickly.

If you still want to submit a complaint, you will need to provide AN EXACT ADDRESS of the noise disturbance to ensure your complaint can be sent to the animal's owner.

Once you have submitted this form, San Diego Humane Society will send a letter to the owner of the animals(s) advising them to respond to the complaint and to fix the problem regarding the complaint. Please allow at least two weeks for the owner to receive the letter and to take proper action.

San Diego Humane Society will notify the owner that future complaints will result in one of our officers being dispatched to the area for investigation. Depending on the findings, this could result in enforcement action (including prosecution for various violations, court appearances and/or fines), as well as taking other possible measures. This enforcement action will be based on your local laws and regulations.

If the noise problem has led to a disagreement between yourself and the animal owner, we may advise you on to the best mediation alternatives available in your city.
