Our Story

2018 Day of Giving

PAWS San Diego

We're so excited to be participating in San Diego Humane Society's Day of Giving on June 28, 2018!

Please support us as we raise money for the people and animals helped by PAWS San Diego. Since 1993, PAWS San Diego has provided essential services and support to low-income pet families in our region.

PAWS San Diego is one-of-a-kind in the scope of safety net services provided for pet owners in need:

  • Our In-Home service provides a monthly delivery of pet food, cat litter and other supplies to homebound seniors and chronically ill individuals, in addition to dog walking and funding for veterinary care.

  • The PAWS Pantry serves more than 500 low-income and homeless pet families with supplemental food assistance and free pet supplies through our distribution sites around the county each month.

  • Our quarterly community pet events bring free pet services, including vaccinations, microchipping, licensing, spay/neuter appointments and more to targeted low-income neighborhoods. Visit https://bit.ly/2IcTEIw for photos of our most recent event in City Heights.

  • The PAWS office in Linda Vista serves as a hub five days per week for pet-related resources for pet owners in need who have nowhere else to go and are devastated at the thought of surrendering their pet.

So far this fiscal year, PAWS has provided...

•  More than 1.5 million meals

•  2,475 in-home deliveries

•  1,253 dog walks

•  390 veterinary vouchers

•  118,804 pounds of pet food to partner animal welfare and social service organizations

…and so much more!

Please make a tax-deductible gift to support our participation in the Day of Giving. Whatever you give will help - every dollar makes a difference! We truly appreciate your support, as do the pet families who can stay together because of PAWS!

With thanks,
