ABOUT US

Serving San Diego County since 1880, San Diego Humane Society operates campuses in San Diego, Escondido and Oceanside. We offer San Diegans a wide range of programs and services that strengthen the human-animal bond, prevent cruelty/neglect, provide medical care, educate the community on the humane treatment of animals and provide safety net services for all pet families needing assistance with keeping their pets.

WHY WE WALK

When you join the Walk for Animals, you're joining a community that is working each day to create a more humane San Diego for companion animals and wildlife across our region. Your participation strengthens our ability to create extraordinary moments of hope and joy for people and animals, as well as sustain critical initiatives, like staying at zero euthanasia of healthy and treatable animals.

Make a statement for those who don't have a voice -- sign up today to walk and fundraise on behalf of the animals.

CREATE A MORE HUMANE
SAN DIEGO

By fundraising as part of the Walk for Animals, you make it possible for San Diego Humane Society to provide a second chance for more than 30,000 companion and wild animals that will come into our care this year. Every dollar raised through the Walk for Animals is immediately put to good use by helping San Diego Humane Society investigate animal cruelty, care for neonatal kittens, provide specialized veterinary care, rehabilitate native wildlife, keep pets in their homes and out of shelters, respond to natural disasters, and so much more.
